The Shagadelic Convoy
Laurie's Ohio Bash
(temporary page)
This page is from a letter Laurie sent out, until we get it all together, this should give you some idea of what is planned for Cincinnati
Do you love Z's? Well if so, leave open September 2 - 5, 1999, on your calender.
For it marks the long awaited 3rd annual gathering of BMW Z3 and M Roadster/Coupe enthusiasts
at the BMW Manufacturing Plant in Greer, South Carolina.
This 3 day event has grown so popular, that people who are attending, plan for this trip the entire year!
Vacation time is scheduled accordingly around work, hotel reservations are all in tact,
and probably a good detail appointment in order for the week before leaving.
This event allows owners from all over the country to meet and get to know each other
and experience the individualism of the cars.
Such activities once there include tours of the Zentrum Museum, tours of the BMW plant,
panoramic picture, vendors and clinics, drives, social gatherings for lunch and dinner,
and alot of time to talk about your car with new people.
The Z Register is responsible for making all the plans and joining would ensure you the proper procedure
and forms to attend.
You may contact Wayne or Amy Lester at 770-929-1358, or online email: www.bmwregisters.com
Now for the icing on the cake! On Wednesday, September 1rst, for the drive to S.C.,
I have been working with Tony Frederick and The BMW Store who will be hosting a "pitstop"
for us all heading to the "Homecoming 99" event from the Midwest area.
Cars from all over this region will converge together at the dealership for some good food,
rest, talk, and organizing our convoy to continue on to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for the night.
Then bright and early on September 2nd, we are off again to the big event.
So, if you happen to be passing by The BMW Store around noon or one Wednesday, September 1, 1999,
then you may want to bring your camera along. For the sights should be pretty awsome.
Better yet, plan on joining us and come along. I guarantee that once you attend, you will be hooked
and it will become a annual event from your schedule!

The more the better. I would feel so happy to have another group show up.
Only thing I will need to know is as time gets closer,
the BMW Store has asked me to give a tentative number coming.
This is because of the meal planned, they are donating to us all tshirts, etc.,
and they do not want to be short anything.
I will be driving to Cincinnati soon to meet with them to plan the affair more in detail.
My husband has been there and said it is big and very "state of art".
They are even a Dinan dealer. I wrote an article for the BMWCCA in the Cinn. area
that will be published next month.
Hope to see you there!
