Suddenly all the traffic stopped. For almost an hour.
Two trucks had collided somewhere ahead of us. We were left in the concrete wasteland between Jersey Barriers along with hundreds of other vehicles between exit 7 and 8 on I-78.

We expected the usual delays at H burg- but this was something else. CB radio says two tractor trailers collided. It's going to be a while. The carnival atmosphere that takes place, Simpson's-esque, happened and we all got out of our vehicles for a stretch.
I programmed the Traffic Pro to plan a route around this accident- but it didn' t know where I was.
Traffic Pro doesn't apparently like Pennsylvania.
After a while of joshing with the truckers, and the nice folks with the dog in a pickup pulling their RV, it started to rain. The truckers thought they would impress us by mentioning they could get into the beds inside their trucks. If they wanted to impress me, they should have said they had a bathroom in there.
I called the kind folks who volunteered to man the computers while we were on the road. I caught Lisa and she posted for us and kept me company in the rain on the cell phone with my top up.
The nice trucker had a route around the usual hassle of H burg, using 501 and 422 to 283. With all my spare time, I made up a route:

Exit 6
419 S
501 S
772 W
441 S
pass route 30 take second bridge which is
462 W
through York it becomes
234 W

I asked Lisa to check online if there really is a route like this and she confirmed it online and gave my route a thumbs up.
JonT and I took the new route and it was just frikin grand.
