I had done some research for my cat in the car, I had two carriers from SturdiProducts.com for him. The large one fits under the dash and acts more as an enclosure to hold the cat from crawling onto my lap while I am driving. His next favorite place to be while I am driving seems to be sitting on my feet. One of the great things about the SturdiBag is that it's flexible roof allows Rock the maximum space under the dash. He had a little toy in there as well in case he got bored. The vet explained that this is the only place for a cat in the car, on the floor where the airbag could not hit him in a collision. She also said no way was I allowed to open the roof. >:(
