Emmy sits in the driveway with Saffy, JonT's car peeking out from behind her. Both cars are waiting for the chance to grab a couple hundred miles of road on the way home. Emmy is a very happy car now. I am unbelieveably relieved. The seat rocking was so annoying. The clutch stop is a blessing. I even have a little more room to back my seat up. Can't leave the garage without looking under the hood of Shawn's gorgeous 1.9. Someday there will be a Downing Atlanta Supercharger for the 6 cylinder. Until that day, this is a close as I am going to get. And what's this? Fancy cam covers... Shawn writes: A few weeks back a guy posts on the 318ti board that he was selling a used M44 cam cover powder coated in black with all new gaskets, new black plastic 'BMW' center piece and shipping for $75. He also mentioned he had a few spare D/A parts (fuel filter, pulleys and a belt) which he threw in for an extra $5. Needless to say I jumped at that deal. I think the cover he had coated was used but it certainly was never installed after it was coated. Before............................ and After Shawn can use a 4 cylinder engine cover from a 318ti but of course a 6 cylinder can not. Jean Arruda took matters into his own hands having his M Roadster engine cover professionally paint matched Imola Red. From MZ3.net I found only Dinan makes Carbon Fiber Engine Covers for my 2.8 and had them installed at Z3 Fixit Day 2001 |
