Drive-In Drive We were supposed to meet at 2pm, Brian and Paula were running late from Connecticut (bleh, rotten traffic L ) and I did my 15 minute wash and dry job, so I got there last. Jon ended up being there on time for anyone who showed up last minute. That's pretty bizarre in itself, Jon being on time. ;) Jon had been waiting at the meet point, the Pennsylvania Welcome Center on the westbound side of I-78 in Easton, Pennsylvania for about half an hour by the time Brian and Paula from Connecticut, showed up, and after them, I rolled in a clean Emmy. The rain we'd been promised didn't show up. We only knew we wanted to be back in time for the mmmmovie, which would let us in at 7pm and started at 830pm. It was about Brian and Jon and Paula looked at maps. Jon knew his way into the Delaware Water Gap, I knew the way to New Hope, and I also heard about another Drive In somewhere in Pennsylvania, the Circle Drive In, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. Given the choice of going somewhere we had already been, or going somewhere new where we could get lost, we of course chose to get lost. Besides we are clearly the Drive In nuts and we had to go see the other Drive In. Thus was born, Son of Drive In Drive. We used the cell phones and Traffic Pro and maps to figure out where we were going, and besides, what the hell. It was about 330 I think when we set off for a trip of 80 miles, taking the scenic route, of course. We are three colors they stopped making before 2000. Boston Green Metallic, Dark Green, Montreal Blue. Passersby asked if they could take pics of our cars. Not bad for cars they stopped making a year ago, and we're all before the 2000 body style update.
