share them please. It's the first Labor Day Weekend in 6 years that I have not been heading to Z3 Homecoming. I have a new kitten, and couldn't figure out how I could leave him for a week when he is only a few weeks old or take him on a long hot arduous drive. Lucky for me, my pals Jon and Brian and Paula were available and BMW had invited all of us to their party at the Vintage Festival at Lime Rock Racetrack. I got invitations to the event from BMW CCA, for a special package deal. I was really happy the package was delivered to my house in advance. It included a parking pass: and my tickets: And promised us a gift and "hospitality". I heard something about bratwurst on the BMW CCA Talk email list, (thanks Jon Brush!) and I love bratwurst especially when someone else is cooking... All along this summer Jon and I have been looking for an excuse to hook up with Brian and Paula, our Drive In buddies in their natural habitat, Connecticut. Since each package came with 2 tickets, we each took one of them as our guest. Jon came into the city from NJ to get me. I was waiting for the delivery of my repaired cameras and a bunch of other last minute items, and Instant Messaging with friends on their way to Homecoming, so I felt in touch with Spartanburg. I was also monitoring 1010WINS traffic reports and watching as every route to CT reported "heavy delays". I didn't want Freddy's first road trip to be all about being stuck in traffic on a hot day in a carrier in Emmy's passenger footwell. Sure enough, I didn't want to spend 1.5 hours in traffic on an otherwise 2 hour ride myself. So we set out at 6 instead of 4, but then like an idiot, I forgot the kitty litter and had to go back to get it.
