Milkweed? If it is, it's close to extinction. |

Then we went back to the porch... playing guitars (see the guitars
playing in the video), geeking out
on technology (Net
Neutrality, DSL dowload speeds, how BitTorrent works... Geeks
R Us!) Brent took me for a ride on some of those roads from his
'01
Midwest tour... (see our little ride in the
video... wait for the engine noise..) |

and too soon I was back on a plane. Looking out my window the United
States went from flat square patches of land... |

to greener lands (I don't know where this is, I was wishing for
a sign on a rooftop saying like... OHIO or something...) |

and greener still... (Western PA???) |

To the complete mess of patches of land becoming the unruly East

It took me a while to recognize Staten Island |

This is the longest suspension bridge span in the US, the second
longest in the world. |

Brent had asked me a lot about visiting NYC, so here is some of
the information: There is a set fee from JFK airport, but from La
Guardia it's from the meter. The dispatcher gives you a paper describing
your rights and estimating the cost of the ride. About $30 to my
house. |

I love my home town. I wonder how the prices compare, this is our
produce store in Chelsea Market, with a carved lit watermelon. It's
not country, but its nice. |

This is the river I walk by, it's not the Mississippi, but off in
the distance is the State Of Liberty. Its a hazy day. That's New
Jersey on the right, World Financial Center on the left. |

My town is a movie star- recognize this from Men in Black? It's
MIB headquarters- actually a maintenace buildin for the Holland
Tunnel. |
