In case y’all were wondering, winter is OVER and Z3 owners are out on the road all over the Northeast.

As I rolled into the gas station on fumes on my way to meet Carol, Stu, OxcartIII, Susan, Bob and Zee, I met this nice lady named Sally in a black, what is that? 1.9? who is moving to South Africa in 4 weeks.

The company has offered to move her 3 BMWs. I told her to come check out the board and we’d hook her up with a drive before she leaves, and probably Z3’ers over there.

On and on to Frenchtown for a nice lunch. Three shades of green, Stu’s Oxford Green ’00 2.8, Emmy is Boston Green ’97 2.8, and Zee is Dark Green ’97 1.9



btw Stu- I was wrong, "mysogynist" means one who hates women, I meant "misanthrope", which means one who hates people.

When I got to Lisa’s Jon’s ’99 2.8 was there (his still nameless baby), thick with bugs and I mean it. LiZee, my cousin’s ’99 2.3 showed up, and since we were using her house, we washed her too. It was a Z3 pool party with three babies getting sudsy and clean.

Turns out that Bill is taking LiZee to autocross Sunday- invited by a Porshe Boxster friend

that’s Bill walking around the tree, Lisa is under it, weeding, Jon with the hose.

They promised a url, I will post it when they send it. I listened to some hooey about how the Boxsters will beat the Z3’s because their engine is in the middle of the car?

Until I find out for myself I can say nothing. I have been misunderstanding, there IS autocross in the Northeast, just not driving school.

Finally Jon and my cars were clean enough to put Stone guards on.

Notes:
I checked my build date (1/97), tugged on my trunk organizer- it’s OK so far.

Stu’s new ‘00 Ox cart has the same floor mats I bought from Quality, not the leopard prints. Oxford green is metallic. Checked out the roof liner, it seemed charcoal black.

Saw a pretty Z3- Atlanta Blue maybe- pulling into Wide World Stereo- maybe that place is getting a lot of Z3’s since Tom M.’s rave reviews. From what I saw there, they deserve it.

Saw a gorgeous silver coupe heading north from Whitehouse Station.

Jon’s ’99 2.8 has painted window pillars, my ’97 has black plastic.

LiZee’s 2.3 got a new CD Player in the trunk, installed at BMW- it’s very well placed, uses space otherwise unused in the trunk, up high on the right rear end. Lots of stone chip damage ‘cause she aint using her Stone Guards.

Something happened to ONE of my chrome stone guards- I am going to talk to Keith about it- just be careful if you have them in your trunk, I think one rubbed against the plastic of my Homecoming Blanket and that screwed it up. Lucky I have a spare set J.

OK I am nearly finished the 04/25/99 Comprehensive Coal Cruise Compendium... waiting for some stray pics...
