I am deployed here with MSgt Chris
Bowen - I just wanted to say thank you very much for the t-shirts.
I am glad to have the opportunity to be over here and to help out with
the mission. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We couldn't do
it without people like you. God bless you and take care.

Yes, ma'am. I am one of the few women holding
it down for (unit identification deleted) but this has been one of the
best experiences of my life. The guys here have all been great and this
has been a life changing experience. I appreciate life in a whole new
way. I now realize you don't have to wake up each day and you don't
have to make it through your day safely and there are many people who
put their lives on the line for us every day like the firefighters to
make sure life is comfortable. I wouldn't trade this experience for
the world.
(I offered to send the photos
from the FDNY
firefighter's calendar to the Diane for the women troops)
Please
do send some manly firefighter pictures - I will pass them on to my
friends here as well. Here I attached my picture too - so that the guys
can see who the shirts went to.Take
care and look forward to hearing from you again with the pictures.
I see a resemblance here
:)
I had to read and re-read
what she said in order to understand it:
"I now realize you don't
have to wake up each day..."
