Hello,
I wanted to start off by saying thank you for the support and thank
you for showing us that others support us here. W e watch the news and
sometimes it feels like people back home do not like what we are doing
here. I feel that only if they knew the truth their feelings would change.
On the news they only show the bad they don't show that we are doing
a lot of good here. When I say “we” I don't only mean the
fire dept. I am talking about everybody here in country; we are a team.
Without the others we would not be able to do what we do. The fire dept.
has been working with the locals to help them learn the correct way
of firefighting; we have been training them for the last three months.
They learn very fast. The news does not show all of the people thanking
us everyday here for helping them be free of terrorism. Their way of
life was very hard before we came in to help they live a lot better
now but the news does not say that because then we would be doing something
right . You sent my brother a picture of
a letter from a firefighters family about 9-11 and that was very up
lifting that even though they lost a member of the family they think
of others and not their own loss. Those people are the true heroes not
us. Here is a picture of my brother and
me, Paul is the one on the left and Iam
the one on the right. My name is Johnny. They tell us we can not fly
the American flag here so we wear it. We are proud to call ourselves
Americans and we are proud to call you a friend you are true angel thank
you !!!!!!
