So after roughly 65,000 miles the TexZan's headlights weren't
looking so hot. I've read numerous times about refinishing them
and decided it was time. I already had everything I needed to
do it except for polishing compound so I took the quick trip to
get it. Here's everything you'll need: |
masking
Open the hood and mask off the area because you'll ruin your paint
otherwise. I guess, in theory, if you're REALLY careful with sandpaper
you could do it without but why risk it? |

This is after 800 grit |
after1000
This is after 1000 Wipe it down and repeat with the next level
of paper. |
after2000
This is after 2000 |
after2500
This is after 2500 At this point you're wondering if it will ever
clear up. You've gone through all of the paper and it's still
opaque. Don't worry, it will clear up quickly from here. |
