I finally replaced my original battery in the Z3 last month. That is right,
eight years and two months - 98 months! Since I went that far, I wanted to reach
100, but I decided a ninth winter might be too much to ask. Even though it gave
me no evidence of impending failure, I traded it in. The battery, not the car!
I was about three miles from home at 1:30am when I hit the deer. Here is a photo
of the main damage. Windshield, fender and door, which some hood. Xpel will
hopefully go on over the Holidays. Regarding the deer, the first thing I saw
was its head pressed against the windshield. Zero reaction time. But, it could
have been a lot worse.
