On February 2, 2008 I forwarded this contest notice to my mail lists,
and I came up with a caption myself and submitted it. My caption
entry is: "A coupé is fine for Batman but superheroes
who fly need a convertible." |

Then I got this invite a couple weeks ago, RSVP'd and reported when
and where I was told. |

At the Auto Show we were given these cool passes to get in. |

The party for the sneak preview on Thursday night was upstairs,
above the BMW display. |

Even better, there were 4 cartoonists from the New Yorker you could
ask to make a cartoon for you. And drinks and hot hors d'oeuvres...
nice people, I guess they all submitted captions on the contest.
Nothing to do with any club, no cliques or drama. |

The BMW people were all top notch, relaxed, happy to talk cars or
anything you like. I am sorry I didn't take names of the BMW people,
there was just so much going on. |

I wanted Drew to draw me and Emmy, but there was no Z3 on display.
A really nice BMW tech let me use his iPhone to go to my web site
and find an image of me in my car. |

Being totally geekoid, and as the really nice BMW tech had to go
join his group for a tour, I took a digital picture from his iPhone,
and gave my camera to Drew. |

By this time, Jon had a friend send him a phone pic of himself in
his car. Zachary
Kanin was drawing Jon and his car from his phone while Drew
was drawing mine. Z3ers do everything 2 by 2... :)
