Nora in 2006
Kevin was in high demand at Ladder 20 and everywhere we went. It
was very exciting to see how happy the FDNY folks were to see one
of the troops and make that connection. On the way to Mass walking
with hundreds of FDNY folks, many would stop to say hello to Kevin
and thank him for his service. |
There is now a beautiful wood table in honor of the Ladder 20 brothers
lost on 9-11-01 in the kitchen, created by one of the Ladder 20
brothers. It took 3 years to make it. |

Mike Toal and Rich
Snyder, the two firefighters who got this whole t-shirt thing
started in January 2002 with Kevin. |

Kevin explained the significance of the emblems. I know so little
of either the FDNY or the military, it was terrific to have Kevin
there to explain and communicate with the firefighters. |
Nora re-enlisted when she got home in 2005. I just heard from her
that she is redeploying soon. Of course we are not happy to hear
that she has to go back to the war, but we have a message for her:
We are going to be with you again! |
